Look, a lot of dealers can’t tell if they have an automatic or manual transmission, or tell the difference between a down payment and the full asking price, or even come up with a sale price in time to post the ad, so expecting accuracy in color is probably also unreasonable.

That is a made up statistic but I know red-green is a type of colorblindness. I think you are right about the gray thing though.

Probably not. If you see a car of indeterminate color, you’ll probably call it gray. If you see a shirt of indeterminate color, it’s about as likely to be green/red. Probably just learned to avoid color qualifiers altogether with time and get better at guessing based on context. Still makes for some. . . interesting. . . clothing choices.
